Founded by Norberto Jaeger in 1946, Companhia Minuano de Alimentos started as a small factory of paper packaging and typography. In 1955, the company changed its business field and joined the poultry industry.
In the 1970s, Minuano became one of the largest producers of poultry meat in Brazil and participated in the founding of the Brazilian Association of Chicken Producers and Exporters (ABEF), which would later become the Brazilian Poultry Union (UBABEF) in 2010.
In 1984, Minuano acquired its second industrial plant in Arroio do Meio, supplied with raw material from its integrated producers. A decade later, Minuano expanded its portfolio and entered the swine business, buying two units of slaughter and production in Santa Catarina. The attempt eventually failed and the factories closed. Since then, the company decided to focus in the chicken business.
Nowadays, Minuano is a vertically orientated operation, integrating all levels of the process, from breeding farm to production and slaughtering of poultry, ensuring quality in every part of the process. The industrial park consists of one industrial plant, hatchery, breeder farms, eggs control center, two slaughterhouses and a feed mill.
Aiming its operations at providing services to third parties, the company moves towards reinvigorating its brand in the domestic market by focusing its energy in the production of industrialized products, reaffirming its image strength and recognition among consumers.
